 Eligibility for PGDM (Equivalent to MBA)

  • Minimum 3-year Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any discipline, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST PWD candidates) in aggregate from a recognized University/Institute by UGC/ AICTE. Students appearing for their final year degree examination may also apply.
  • Valid score in CAT 2025/ XAT 2026/ CMAT 2026/ GMAT/ MAT (Aug 2025 & onwards)/ ATMA 2026/ CUET 2026 (any one or more than one) for admission to 2026-28 PGDM batch.
  • Since the eligibility will be screened on the basis of information furnished in the application form, candidates are advised to fill correct and complete information in the application form.

 Eligibility for PGDM-Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Venture Development

  • The applicant must have a bachelor’s degree from any University/Institution recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Those in their final year of graduation and obtaining their certificates of completion by August 31, 2026 may also apply. Candidates with experience in startups, businesses or other relevant work experience will be given preference.
  • Valid score in CAT 2025/ XAT 2026/ CMAT 2026/ GMAT/ MAT (Aug 2025 & onwards)/ ATMA 2026/ CUET 2026 (any one or more than one).

Instructions for filling the Application Form

  • The online application is for admission to programmes offered in Chandragupt Institute of Management Patna.
  • Application Form Fee for CIMP: Rs. 1000/- [Rs. 500/- for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Differently Abled (DA)* candidates].
  • Application Form Fee is Non-Refundable.
  • Email ID submitted at the time of registration will be used for all correspondences until enrolment is completed. Change in Email ID will NOT be permitted under any circumstances.
  • Please note that each applicant may use only one Aadhar number per application. Once a valid Aadhar number is provided, it will be linked to the application form and cannot be modified later. (One Aadhaar card, One Application only.)
  • An applicant can apply only once in an admission season and there is no provision to re-appear in the GD-PI process.
  • Please note that IIMs / XLRI or any other agency have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the Programme. Please note that mere fulfilment of the minimum eligibility criteria may not lead to admission offer unless the candidate clears the GD-PI and composite score cut-off.

 Eligibility for Fellow Programme in Management (FPM)

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering and Technology/ Management/ Economics/Social Science/ Biological Science/ Pure Science/ Commerce/ Humanities with FIRST CLASS shall be considered for admission.
  • Candidates require a valid test score, from any one of the acceptable tests (CAT, GMAT, GRE, NET).

 Eligibility for Executive Fellow Programme in Management (EFPM)

Work Experience

  • Applicants having relevant experience of 3 or more years will be given preference in the EFPM admission process.

Academic Eligibility

  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering and Technology/ Management/ Economics/Social Science/ Biological Science/ Pure Science/ Commerce/ Humanities with FIRST CLASS shall be considered for admission.
  • Those appearing for their final examination in the respective discipline can also apply. Such students if selected shall be provisionally admitted provided they complete all requirements in obtaining their Master’s Degree before 30th September of the year of admission. The admission of these candidates shall remain provisional until they produce the mark sheet proving that they satisfy the eligibility criteria.

Note:

  • The candidate should possess the above degree awarded by any university or institution established by Indian Central or State Legislature Act/ act of Parliament/Deemed to be University (Section 3, UGC Act, 1956)/ graduation qualification recognized by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India.
  • In case a candidate possesses a foreign degree, the degree needs to be certified as equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities. The bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification should be of minimum of three years duration after completion of(10+2) years schooling or equivalent.
  • The percentage of marks, or CGPA equivalence of marks, as certified by the institution/university awarding the degree will be considered. In case the institution/university does not provide a method for calculating CGPA equivalence, the equivalent CGPA will be calculated as [ (CGPA obtained / maximum possible CGPA) x 100]
